Hi there! i have been very hypo recently and have been feeling really dizzy and nauseaous!, been back on cytomel for 2 weeks now but still having dizzy spells, i put it down to the fatigue and effects of being hypo.
All my tests before surgery were normal, nothing was cancerous after surgery, my calcium levels are fine and the surgeon said it was "just in my head". I have an apt with my original doctor on Tuesday, I am going to ask him to pull blood early. I have started taking my meds at night as that seems to help the extreme fatigue, but nothing helps the dizziness.
I had constant dizziness that lasted only about a week, not 2 .. they said it was from the meds used to put me out as a side effect and I swear the position they put your head in for 2 hours backwards doesn't help either.
But since your dizziness comes and goes I really don't know.
I woke up from surgery with a migraine headache worse than the neck pain and those were my first words when they asked if I needed pain meds .. my headache which ended up lasting 48hrs wtih Vertigo that kept me in the hospital an extra night .. I couldn't wear my glasses for 48 hrs cause I'd puke with the room spinning as if I were drunk. It was awful.
My surgeon thought it was the pain meds also, but I only took them my overnight stay in the hospital. He thought also the position of my head, but gave no help. I am thinking about going to a chiropractor to maybe get realigned after my visit with my doc. But thanks for all the help, at least I know now it's not "in my head", not really anyway.
WELCOME!
Cheryl
I have dizziness releated to being hypo.
Perhaps the dizziness is related to being hypo rather than from the med??
hope you are feeling better soon! x x x
