Has anyone had any experience with www.naturalcures.com and Kevin Trudeau? Their claim is that there are natural cures from all around the world for every illness but the FDA just won't allow them to advertise the power of vitamins/minerals etc.because that would bankrupt many of the large pharmaceutical companies, So he made this website and wrote some books to reveal those "secrets." Let me know if you've had any experience with Kevin Trudeau, his books, his website, or actually using his suggestions. Thanks!
Have never been motivated to read or deal with anyone that promotes himself that way. He probably also sells snakeSnake bite Snake bite on the finger Snake bites oil on the side. LOL Reading between the lines, and on your personal page, i wondered if you were one of those hypo patients, myself included, that have had trouble getting their doctors past using TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh as the determinant for whether they were hypo or not. If you could please post whatever lab test results you have, along with their reference ranges used by the lab, our many experienced members will be glad to try and provide you with some helpful analysis and comment.
Thanks for the advice! I didn't have a good feeling about him or his wild claims...just wanted to ask around and see if anyone had any experience! I've posted my labs on here before and got some answers. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh has been going up and down like crazy bc I've been changing meds-- levoxyl to T3 and back to levoxyl...I'm beginning to wonder if its not my thyroid thats causing my fatigue and muscle pain. I have EBV and HHV6 and some other viruses in my gut that may be making me feel bad too. I just wanna know why my immune system isn't working to fight these off! The endocrinologist I saw today seems to think I should see a rheumatologist..
Changing thyroid meds based on TSH alone is like driving a car while blindfolded and only changing directions when you run into a wall. TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by many variables, including the time of day when blood is drawn. It is inadequate as a diagnostic, by which to determine meds dosage. At best it is an indicator, to be considered along with the most important indicators, which are symptoms and also free T3 and free T4.
Free T3 and free T4 (not to be confused with total T3 and total T4) are the actual biologically active thyroid hormones that largely regulate metabolism and many other body functions. FT3 is the most important of the two because it is four times as active as FT4. FT3 also correlates best with hypo symptoms. In my opinion the very best way to treat a thyroid patient is to test and adjust FT3 and FT4 levels with whatever meds are required to alleviate symptoms, without regard for the resultant TSH level.
The most difficult part of all this is finding a good thyroid doctor that will treat your symptoms in this manner. In fact I think that should be the first question that you ask of a doctor before making an appointment.
This is a good article by Dr Henry Lindner, that I think would be worthwhile reading for you.
