Thanks for the response I got to my original post! I havent been back to the Dr.but would like to be tested for Hashimotos, Graves, Cushings, or adrenal disorder...but how do I present this to my Doctor without sounding like a hypochondriac?
I havent been back to ANY doctor after I saw the 2nd 'specialist' but
as you can see, my labwork DOES fall within the normal ranges:
TSH 09/09/09 0.816 uIU/mL 0.450-4.50
T4F 09/09/09 1.11 ng/dL 0.93-1.71
THYROXINE (T4) (0011 09/09/09 8.4 ug/dL 4.5-12.0
T3 UPTAKE (001156) 09/09/09 28 % 24-39
FREE THYROXINE INDEX 09/09/09 2.4 1.2-4.9
I am currently being tested for cushings! Symptoms being : tiredness, low libido, spots on shoulders, neck pain, arms, hips ache, depression, facial hair, water retention and weight gain, oh and I literally can look like I have just got out the bath from hoovering (sweat) I'm so worried about the outcome, worried I have a lump on my pituitary gland? Scary x
Have you been tested for Hashimoto's and Graves autoimmune thyroid diseases?
Either can cause goiter. Unbelieveable these Drs! Also ...please get a copy of your most recent labs and post them here for us to view. Please include your labs ranges.
As far as the adrenals and Cushings disease is concerned...there are specific tests for that.
??? you have a goiter??? but they say you don't have a thyroid condition????
