Dry wrinkled skin
Hi,
I have had hypothyroidism since I was 14 and am now 29. I take 75mg of thyroxin daily however over the last 5 years my skin has become very dry and I have lots of fine wrinkles, flaking skin and scaly patches.
My sister is just one year older and we are almost identical however people assume I am much older because of my skin. Could this premature wrinkling be related to my thyroid?
My TSH is 3.5 which I hear is perhaps a little high, the problem is if I increase this I get heart palpitations constantly.
Any information you could provide would be much appreciated!
Cheers

I forgot to mention that I have autoimmune hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's thyroiditis) if this is of any relevance.
