After a routine physical, my physician referred me to an ear, nose & throat doctor. Diagnosis was a multinodular goiter. I had an ultra sound and then a fine needle biopsy. Biopsy showed follicular lesions. This is another question for later. My question now is why an ear, nose & throat doctor? Wouldn't it be better to go to an endocronologist? Would this type of doctor be better prepared to handle this type of situation? Surgery was recommended for my diagnosis.
