Elevated free t3
Been on the same dose of armour thyroid for about a year now. 6 months ago blood tests showed perfect thyroid levels. The ones last week showed a very elevated free t3 (over 8). Hair's falling out and I'm dropping weight. What happened? My thyroid was removed in 1994. I also recently had testosterone added to my compounded hormones.
Before commenting further, I need to know the reference ranges shown on the lab report for the Free T4 and the T3. For the others, does being "fine" mean that they were optimal, or just somewhere within their reference range? The ranges are far too broad. If you still have the info, please post the Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin.
At the time of the test my Armour dose was 180mcg every other day, 120 mcg every other day. After 120mcg every day. Yes I did take it the morning of the test. Test results were as follows: free t4 1.36, TSH <0.006, T3 8.0. I was tested for the others about year ago. All were fine.
Please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges sown on the lab report. Also, what is your Armour dosage? Did you take your morning dose of Armour the day of the blood draw? What, if any, other symptoms do you have? Have you been tested for Vitamin D B12 and ferritin?
