Elevated to over 150

by jancatzzz, Sep 05, 2007 03:18PM
My dr office has just called me to tell me my TSH is over 150 and my cholesterol has jumped from 159 to 359.  I have an appointment for Friday, but wonder if anyone has any ideas here.  I had been off my medication for several months, and went in to get it started again.  The only other thing I take is Excedrin.

Forgot to mention that I have been diagnosed with a goiter in the past.

Why did you go off your medication? When I was first diagnosed with Hashi's/hypo, my TSH was 130 and my cholesterol was 210+. After only 4 weeks on 75 mcg of Synthroid, my TSH dropped to 4.75 and my cholesterol down to 177. Sounds like you need to get back on the meds!!

Good luck Friday.
