You might save yourself a lot of looking by posting a new message and asking if anyone on the Forum can recommend a good thyroid doctor in your area. Otherwise, I've found that you have to do a lot of "interviewing" in order to find a doc you want to "hire".
Thank you so much! Im inspired! Im gonna go look for a new one!!!
Gatorgirl, I wish you the best of luck. I am on my third endo right now. She admits to being confused about my various labs, but at least she admits that she doesn't know everything, and she's willing to keep testing and working with me. My first two laughed at me when I told them I feel a lump in my neck. They bragged about how much experience they had as endos and that my pain was in my head.
My new endo found three grape-sized lumps in my thyroid and she said I do have a goiter. The biopsy is this Monday.
Keep switching endos until you get one who is actually concerned. I found my doctor by googling various endos and she had a great review from a patient. Just remember, doctors are humans, too. Even the best doctors don't know everything.

Find a new doctor!! Your levels are supposed to be supressed because of the cancer. Your dr should be treating you based on symptoms and levels combined.
What a shame that they are ignorant to free t3......yes you need to find a new dr!!
