Endocrinologist in Edmonton - Thyroid disorder

Hi. Does anyone has recommendation on an endocrinologist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada? Is anyone seeing any endo for their thyroid problems and was satisfied with the treatment? I am seeing my family doctor but he is thinking to refer me to endo. Please let me know I can ask my doctor based on your suggestion.

Could you please send me info for a thyroid specialist in Edmonton as well? And would you happen to know if I need a referral? I’ve gained 40lbs in three months, my hair is falling out, I’m exhausted ALL THE TIME! I just want to feel normal again.
Everyone is saying “it has to be your thyroid” BUT my doctor tested my TSH recently (again) and it came back ‘normal’.
I have to admit, I had an eating disorder when I was young and unfortunately got my hands on T3 (Cytomel) and had abused it for two-three months - and lost A LOT of weight. My thoughts are that this has inadvertently caused a thyroid problem now, 4 years later.

Also, sorry to double post on here.. but another major symptom (major to me) is that my feet swell to the point that I cannot put my shoes on. My doctor at one point had called it Pitted Adema, and had prescribed something for water retention. But it did nothing to help me and has since been ignored.
And I feel like it’s worth mentioning; I’m 27F and there is no chance of pregnancy. I had my Fallopian tubes removed at 11 years ago.

You could go to a bio-identical doctor.  They have an optimal range your thyroid should be in.  I had low thyroid symptoms and my family doctor said my thyroid was normal, despite the fact my hair was falling out, I felt exhausted, colder then everyone else, depressed, and irritable.  The bio-identical doctor said my thyroid was low and put me on desiccated thyroid and I am feeling much better.  They have an optimal range rather then a big range for the thyroid levels. So many people are hypo and family doctors say their blood work is in the  normal range.  If you have thyroid symptoms go see a bio-identical doctor.  There are a few in Edmonton.

Was your daughter tested beyond the test for thyroid antibodies?  If so, please post results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.

Can you send me the Edmonton doctors name as well? My adult daughter tested positive for thyroid antiboties but other results are "fine" so no treatment will be done. Doctor says there's nothing that can be done, and I fail to believe that with modern western medicine in 2016.

can you please also send me the name of a drs that can help.  I live in Saskatchewan but will travel to get help.  I have had a thyroid issue for the past 30 years, on the same meds for the past 30 years, in the last 6 months drs have changed the dose 4 times.  I'm at my wits end.  I feel terrible, if you have any suggestions pls email me.  Thank you.  I can't find a drs that will refer me to a specialist.
