Hey, Lily! Thanks for your response. As for what I am putting on my incision, just some "Mederma", and the incision itself looks good. It is fading and not raised very much, but I agree with you that it must be scar tissue underneath. It really bothers me, because it is so unsightly, and I catch people staring at it. My surgeon drained it after about 2 weeks, but I went back Friday, and he was out of town. His nurse tried to get something out of it, but to no avail. I just hope that this is NOT permanent. Is the Catrix 10 a prescription or can you get it OTC?
hi
i had a TT in August as well, and it sounds like I'm having the same scarring issues as you also.
Mine is reddish and a raised. The last time I met with my surgeon, he injected it with something that was supposed to flatten it out, but I don't see any improvement. I've been using this gel (Catrix 10) several times a day, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I was thinking of switching to something else. . .shea butter or cocoa butter etc., but I'm not sure. I go back to the surgeon next month so we'll see what he says.
what are you using on your scar?
Be well!
