Enlargement of Right Thyoid lobe

by avinash1812, Mar 16, 2009 11:02AM
I had done Ultrasound of my neck & the report says-Right thyroid lobe is moderately enlarged & showed large echogenic nodule measuring 49x43x49 mm.(2) Left thyroid lobe is reduced in size measuring 49x15x16 mm with normal echotexture and no focal lesion.(3)Isthmus is mildly enlarged measures 6mm.
Please clarify what is the normal size? What is the medication required? Will the size reduce after medicatiion or surgery is the only solution.
Kidly help me as I am disturbed.Thank you in advance.

What did your PCP say about the results? Are you having any kind of symptoms? What were your lab results on TSH, T3 and T4?
