Extremely high TSH

My blood test showed a TSH > 150!  After three weeks on 75 mg. Levoxythracin my second test showed a TSH > 150.  I am now taking 150 mg. of Levoxythyracin.  After several weeks, I do not feel a whole lot better.

Could something more serious be going on with me?

I was at 118,8 months ago I had both my lobs removed 25 years ago, I had taken meds for one week after that and felt bad, so I stop taking them. I was not taking anything for over 24 years. Now they have put me one Synthroid Eight months ago starting at 25mcg and working up to my current dose of 175mcg. My TSH is 2,1 and been that way for two months and I still feel terriable. I moght get of mine for a week, and see how I feel, I tried to swich brands to levoyl and it took away the cramps but made me more tired, and some of the dizzy and verdigo came back so I have gone back to synthroid, and it made things a mess again, TSH level check on Monday.

Hi - Your TSH is worse than mine, and mine is high at 111.  My results just came back this week and the internist prescribed 100 levoxyl.  The endo called later and said they would have given 112 mcg but since the prescription was already started, to just leave it alone for now.  They don't want more bloodwork for 2 months.

How are you feeling with a TSH of 150?  I haven't read too many posts where people are in the 100's like us.  Mine went from normal to rock bottom like this in one months time.    I don't think 3 weeks is a lot of time - I think it will take much longer for us to feel any better.  Good luck.

75 was a little low for 150 and three weeks not long enough for meds to work in blood test.

It might take a while to feel better if its indeed from thyroid and that is, a while after you are at your correct levels.
