FEEL like I wanna die.. :(

Hi..
New here, my name is Holly, 38 yr. old female w/ Graves Disease..
Here is just a few list of the symptoms that I get to deal w/on a daily basis..
Does ANYONE else feel THIS BAD!!!
1st Been treated w/ radioactive iodine 10+yrs. ago JUST to realize that my goiter has newly awoken & is getting BIGGER.. Well, w/no health care, of course I am wondering HOW to even afford the radioactive iodine treatment..
Last I remember, it was like $800..
Anyway, does anyone experience any of these symptoms??
1. ENLARGED, painful glands everywhere especially ALL glands in the neck..
2. Entire body under skin covered with cysts especially opposite side of bicep on arm..
The meat under the skin is completely covered w/ cysts, some smooth feeling, some almost feel like they have a sharp point on them.
3. BREASTS~ Same things but bigger, painful lumps.. Went 4 extensive mammogram which was normal except for a lot of (black hole) looking images on the screen that were in fact cysts.
4. I feel nauseous EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
5.  If I am not drinking water constantly, my urine is dark, almost looks like yellow ink being dropped into the toilet.
6. EXTREME headaches, feels like my tons of pressure behind my eyes!!
7. Painful, Pinprick feeling shoots across my forehead any time I get hot, either from walking briskly, hot shower, mostly when heart rate gets elevated.
8. Painful crunching in joints ESPECIALLY in neck. CONSTANT grinding, can push vertebra in & out behind my neck..
9. Painful, Re-occuring sores in my nose.. This just started 1 1/2 mo. ago
These are just a few of my symptoms..
I am a young, business owner & can BARELY function anymore!!!
Any idea guys??
I have no insurance so have went to E.R twice now.. They along w/ about 4 other places have done nothing to help me & cannot find anything w/ blood work or urine.. No infections even!!!
Help! :(

We'll first - you need to understand what you are in.

Now that you had RAI you are hypothyroid. You will find the since you had the DX of Graves most likely they only looked at the TSI Graves antibodies and now are treating you for just hypothyroidism.

My suggestion to rule out something else - would be to double check that you didn't have Hashimoto antibodies w/ the Graves disease. Just to make sure those antibodies are not causing issues too. It's a simple test a TPOab/Tgab blood test.

After RAI - some patients can experience conversion problems with T4 into T3 hormones. Your meds you are taking are solely T4 meds that require optimal conversion into T3 to allow you to feel well. Many T4 patients convert just fine. I on the other hand did very poorly and required a little more than what conventional medicine allows. I went on T3/T4 thyroid meds and had remarkable improvement.

I also carried the Hashi antibodies and no one caught that until recently. Either way Graves antibodies - or Hashi's or a combo of both- require putting them in remission to achieve a wellness with thyroid disease.

You may want to read up on doing that. there are many options available.

Finding a T4 - T3 balance is key to eliminating symptoms. If a T4 med converts well for the individual - then they usually recover quickly after RAI - but if a person is experiencing symptoms after some period of time. ( I was left ill for almost 5 yrs) More tests of vitamin- mineral and hormone testing should be done to find the reason for the inbalance. It sometimes is not just about tweaking the meds...

I can relate to most of your issues - everthing except the cysts..

You say you had RAI 10years ago. right?

What test have you had done? What meds are you on?

Holly ,

Put a bit of history in this post - we need to see more information.
