You know how Iron supplements make your poo go dark brown/black or green? We probably don't absorb the total amount of iron available in each tablet - some just goes on through...
Well.. when your levels are good again, any extra iron that you take will just be passed through the digestive system... (to a point) so it won't hurt to keep taking them for a bit longer (if I was you I'd keep going for another month or so).
