Ferritin

Hi all~

I had a ferritin of 13 4 weeks ago.  I began taking Chromagen Forte 4 weeks ago and now my ferritin is 38!  I was just wondering after I get my ferritin level >70, do I stop taking the iron.  I have had a hysterectomy, so I do not have monthly cycles.  Since I have been taking the iron, my hemoglobin is at the very top of the range.

You know how Iron supplements make your poo go dark brown/black or green?  We probably don't absorb the total amount of iron available in each tablet - some just goes on through...

Well.. when your levels are good again, any extra iron that you take will just be passed through the digestive system... (to a point) so it won't hurt to keep taking them for a bit longer (if I was you I'd keep going for another month or so).
