Your FT4 is well up in the range. So, I don't think that increasing levo is going to relieve your symptoms at this point. It will probably just make you feel hyper.
The answer has to be in your FT3 levels. T3 is the only form of the thyroid hormones that your cells can use. If it is low, you are not going to feel well. Are you covered by insurance for lab tests? If so, I'd ask your doctor to run FT3. If she refuses, you really have not choice but to see another doctor. However, thyroid blood tests are available online, and it might be worth the money to see what your FT3 level is before pursuing this. Online labs operate without a doctor's order and send the results directly to you.
This doctor is not helping you. You have to find a way to see someone else.
i am under treated. my last tsh was 4.63. freet4 = 1.4 range 0.8-1.7 ng/dL, no free t3. doc does not believe its helpful. going to endo who does not believe in freet4 or freet3. i hate her. but have no choices right now.
i take 112mcg of levothroid. its not enough. but when i take 125 or even 112 with 125 every other day, i feel horrible.
low tsh i have fatigue, dry skin, depression, headaches (migraines i think), vertigo, naseua.
when i take more tsh i have all that plus anxiety and swelling. i am confused. doc is no help.
When I was hypo, I had elephant ankles. Thyroid meds resolved that.
I'm wondering if your meds are not adjusted properly. Do you have recent FT3, FT4 and TSH to post? If so, please provide reference ranges as well, since ranges vary from lab to lab.
Are you taking thyroid meds? Which, and how much?
Hypothyroidism can develop this symptoms. If you are left hypo then other hromones fall out of whack.
Here are a few connections that are common with hypo that bring this on.
magnesium deficiency
estrogen dominance
IBS and acidophillus will help that.
Hope that helps.
