I'm sorry.  You know it didn't really hit me that I have CANCER until a full year after my diagnosis.  I was so busy worrying about all my sisters, then my 16 year old daughter, going through the same thing that it really didn't sink in.  Man, when it hit me I really lost it.

Now I have the fun of checking "cancer" and "diabetes" on my forms.  It's so bizarre.  It really sunk in when I had my recurrence last year and needed RAI.

Be prepared - the tears will come (and the anger, and the denial).  Many of us have been blindsided by it.  

We are here for you!!  Remember - YOU ARE A SURVIVOR!!

Just wait for the first medical history form you have to fill out.  Checking off "CANCER" in your  own history is VERY surreal!
