Hi everyone!
Can anyone tell me if it is possible for a baby with congenital hypothyroidism, treated with LevothyroxineLevothyroxine Levothyroxine sodium to go to hyperthyroidism (after 2 months of treatment)? And how can I recognise the symptoms?
Baby could be med. induced hyperthyroid, meaning baby is getting too high does of meds.
Have you had this checked out with the doctor. When it comes to baby I would not rely on symptoms alone. Baby's and children symptoms are different than adult symptoms.
Thanks for the answers to both bunny235 and GravesLady. My question was mainly if it is possible to go from hypo to hyperHyper-sal and vice versa. It is extremely difficult to recognise such symptoms in a baby so I don't think I will be able to notice them. We do have a doctor indeed, who is a specialist, but for some resons she refuses to send the results to us so we will change her this week. Anyway I would not do anything if I do not have the opinion of at least two specialists.
Thank you again.
