Generic Synthroid

by Gnette, Jul 16, 2008 05:56PM
I was prescribed Synthroid many years ago.  At the time, my doctor informed not to take the generic form of Synthroid.  I recently switched pharmacists who prescribed a generic form, Levothyroxine.  After a few days of taking the medication, I noticed I had become extremely fatigued all day long and have also recently noticed irritability.  Could these symptoms be caused by taking the generic form of the medication?

Yes. My dr told me to take nothing but Synthroid. She signed that on the Rx.

I agree with peggy.
Make the pharmacist give you Synthroid.
