Goiter getting bigger

by auntieann, Jan 31, 2008 10:34PM
I have been on thyroid meds for over 6 years. I have hypothyroidism. My goiter has recently become very noticeable, like in the last 6 months. My TSH is perfect according to my PCP. So why would my goiter continue to grow so big while my levels are fine?
Thank You,
Auntieann

I do not know the answer to your question, but I would request an ultrasound just to be sure there are no other complications.  If your PCP does not have an answer for you, see and endocrinologist that specializes in the thyroid.
