Hair Loss

My doctor found out I had Hashimoto's from my hair loss, December 2004.  How that I am on thyroid medication, since Sept.2007, I continue to have hair loss and have lost 1/2 my hair.  1/8 off my hair in the last 3 months.  Is there any way I can stop the hair loss.  I am using Levothyroxin 25 and one possible side effect is hair loss, my interist is sending me to a skin doctor in over a month.  Do you know what might be the reason for the loss and would a skin doctor be able to help?  I had blood tests done this week and my internist found nothing wrong. Thank you for your answer.  My endocrinologists both said there was nothing they could do and it was not their field of work!  I don't know what ferriten levels are so I will look that up and ask if they were checked.  My hair also falls out in full strands and has for the past 4 years but sometimes more then others.  Right now it is falling out A LOT.

Hi..  I too have the hairloss.  Diagnosed 3/07 and the hairloss continues.  Full strands of hair falling out daily....

Have you had your ferriten level checked?  Please let me know how you make out.
