Hair loss stopped, texture still dry

by Calif_Chris, Aug 07, 2008 11:11AM
After three weeks of PTU I was relieved to see my hair loss come to a stop. I had been shedding for about 1.5 months and really didn't lose that much miraculously.  However, the texture is not right, it's almost like constant static electricity, certainly not the way my hair was before.

My question is, will the meds improve the hair texture in time, or is the hair permanently damaged by the lack of hormone?  And, does the hair strand itself become thicker with meds, i.e, did hyperthyroidism 'thin out' each hair?

Thank you.
