Justin,
Don't forget the sour candy to release the iodine from you salivary glands.
I was never on the LID diet before my RAI. I'm not on meds as of yet, either. Therefore, I can't answer the question about LID.
I hope all goes well with the RAI. I did fine. Just didn't like the isolation. I had 18 mci's
Feel better Justin.....
Good luck............I know this has been weighing on you heavily.
like a desert rat.. and being to the toilet already twice this morning, but I went to bed with pounding headache and I have woken up with it..
How long did you guys stick to the LID diet thing after RAI as I am keen to get stuck in some yoghurt?
Sounds like it went pretty well. Glad you're resting.
Remember drink a ton of liquids-------------- and I mean a ton!! don't let that RAI stick to anything but what was intended for.
Eat very well - too.
Hopefully the nausea and head ache will go away soon. Only had them for about 2 days. Since you don't have a thyroid you at least won't have to worry about it swelling up really bad and causing hormone dumps, so I'd say it shouldn't be that big of a deal as long as you get over being sick fast.
Eight years ago on Valentine's Day I had gall bladder surgery. RAI would have been a lot less painful. ;)
Good Luck with RAI!
If you experience nausea just call the MD for some anti-nausea medication! I took tylenol for the Headache and still have headaches and I am 10 days Post RAI!! Good Luck and remember to drink drink drink to flush that stuff out of you, then flush flush flush it away! WOW this could be a song I think!
Joni
NO kissing after RAI even if today is Valentine's Day :::::hee hee hee:::::
The worst is over. RAI was anti-climatic for me. Basically just swallowing a little pill that just happens to make your body set off geiger counters. You TSH will take a few weeks to get down to a comfortable level most likely. Get some hard candy to suck on for your saliva glands.
Yeap I'm taking it easy, I am having a headache and I don't feel that good..
Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day too...and a healthy one! Take it easy afterward.
