Has anyone heard of coconut oil good for thyroid

Wondering if anyone has tried the coconut oil for their thyroid. Not even sure what it's supposed to do. Anyone has info on it, please share. Thanks.

I thought my problems were stress related for 2 years, before going to the dr. Makes it much worse to heal when you do it that way.

Now whenever I talk to someone and they start mentioning anything that could remotely sound like thyroid symptoms, I say "get your thyroid checked" My new mission in life is to deliver as many people as possible from hypo torture.

I found a brand of coconut oil that they removed the coconut taste....i don't like coconut. There are a lot of cure claims out there......but it is a very healthy oil to injest. It is an all natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, etc. I think I have tried every natural thing I know to "heal" my thyroid. I tried the natural way for a year before i finally agreed to meds. Not a smart thing to do....I got much worse!
Anyway, it is a very healthy oil...but i wouldn't call it a cure all.

I have tried several brands and to me the best was by nutiva. It is the best tasting, to me.

I buy it at a health food store.

Thanks for the info. I guess the health food store or a GNC would be a good place to find it.
I am wondering if the Endo's approve of their patients trying natural methods. You know how doctors love to prescibe meds.

it stays melted at 70 degrees. I drink about 3 tsp a day, when I remember to take it.

It is really not bad tasting if you like coconuts....

Coconut oil is a stimulant for the thyroid not a cure.  I do know it is the best possible oil to take to shrink the fat cells and burn more energy.

I have heard of it being good for the thyroid. Even bought some and still use it from time to time. It did help me loose some weight, which was a good thing.

All these natural remedies are probably best used in the begininng stages of the disease. And mine was very advanced so, I can't really give a good answer on that one.

There is some good info out there on it though. I will see if I have some of the links somewhere and send them to you.....
