Hashimoto's and Alcohol

Does anyone else have the issue where they seem to not be able to drink as much as they used to since being diagnosed?  I had not really thought about this but the last two times I have had more than a couple drinks I end up going to black out drunk level where everyone else is fine - drunk but not my level. I can't walk, talk, keep my head up.  I want to fall asleep immediately.  I used to hold my own like the best of them!  I thought I was just getting older (I am early 30s), but this just seems like too much.  My husband suggested that it may be my thyroid but I had not made that connection.  Any feedback welcomed.  Thanks!

hypothyroidism is known for having hypoglycemia so yeah i would say that alcohol will be very bad for hypothyroid patients as it probably could cause a coma so be careful and speak to your doctor about it before going overboard

I am down to about 2 glasses of wine a week.  Alcohol would beat the crap out of me and I could not recover for days.  I know make my own Kombucha which has little alcohol, so I drink alot of that.

I haven't noticed a difference with drinking, since I've had hypothyroidism.
