I am 41 years old and had HypothyroidHypothyroidism Hypothyroidism - primary Hypothyroidism - secondary Neonatal hypothyroidism Primary and secondary hypothyroidism for 12 years. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and have gained 25 pounds in past year even though I work out at least 5 days a week (Cardio and weights) and have worked with a personal trainer and the weight is not muscle weight....I had even joined LA Weight Lost and couldn't lose an ounce! They have never regulated my thyroid medicine the longest I ever went with out having my medicine changed was 6 months, it was usually being changed every 3 months. I would go in and my test levels would show hyperHyper-sal and then I would go back 3 months later and they would show hypo....I have tried the following medicines in the past 12 years....synthroid for 8 years.....armourArmour thyroid for 3 1/2 years and recently changed to westhyroid. My question to you is that my doctor says that the weight gain is not from the thyroid or Hashimoto's and now I am have edema in my lower legs and handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor....can you help?....and tell what I can do to lose weight and maybe what the problem is?
