Hashimoto's

Hi, I have written before, regarding my hashimoto's disease and nodules.
Because of my insurance, I have been passed around a bit, but am due to see Dr. Morrison at USF.
My current tsh is something like.006 and I am hyper.  My meds have been reduced from 175 mcg to 100 mcg within thepast month, but I feel like I am crawling out of my skin-edgy, angry, uneasy-And!
Steadily gaining weight.
It was recommended I go on an anti-depressant/anti anxiety meds till this all sorts out, but those meds have too many side effects for me to willingly try any of them.  Any natural recommendations would be great.
Quite honestly, its been 5 years of battle, and the past year has been hell.  I am a 48 year old female, normally 130 lbs. now over 167 lbs.  Please help!

Thanks for your response, and to every one that has offered advice and words of comfort.

I am seeing a doctor at USF in Fla next week.  Frankly, if I could have the surgery, I would have it.  I am looking into the L-Theanine and the 5-HTP, -something natural to calm things.  All those anti anxiety meds are a nightmare, truly.

Good luck to everyone out there, suffering with this condition.  No one really 'gets it' unless they actually have it!

Check out 5-HTP.  Like laura1967 said, do your research.  I found 5-HTP to help take the edge and agitation off while making me happier all around.  I did not have any side effects.  It made enough difference that if I skipped a few nights of not taking it, my gf could tell a difference.  Took 200mg each night.  Good luck.

St John's Wort is used in England more than any antidepressant or anxiety med. Also Kava Kava is good. MOST importantly is to do search for interactions between these herbs and other meds you may be on. There are a lot of natural things out there, but you have to be careful to do your research and homework. And it depends upon what meds you are already taking including even birth control.
