Ha Ha your day time TV..that reminds me the ladies I work with said they are going to get me Forrest Gump to watch while I am off because I love to talk like him and I have never even seen the movie but maybe just a few minutes....LOL..I said YEP that would be the perfect time to get it for me.

Glad you are doing so well, I do have faith that things will go good for me too, I am just READY to get it over with..=)

Hey all...I just wanted to give an update....I feel that each day its going to get better...I'm very tired though...I slept most of the day yesterday and I slept A LOT last night...I feel that's all I want to do....I haven't really had the opportunity to use my voice today (except to talk to my dog..lol), so I don't know how that is, but I guess it's better to keep it rested.  The swelling is very minimal...and I was able to get down breakfast and coffee this morning with no problem (just had to take it a little more slow than usual).  

The surgeon told me to move my neck around kind of like to exercise it to keep it from getting stiff..so I've been doing that and it seems to be helping...

Now, I'm just looking forward to catching up with my daytime television..hehe..

Dana - try not to worry too much about the surgery...it will be over before you know it and you will be on the road to a speedy recovery too!!  

I will keep you all posted.

That is great!  I'm glad your surgery was a success!  I hope the rest of your recovery goes just as quickly! (and hopefully, nealy painless).

SO glad to hear that...I am preparing for surgery on the 29th and reading your story I had to read it out loud to my hubby and he said SEE there I told you it would be a breeze...LOL..MEN.....=)

Hi everybody...I'm home!!  I actually got to go  home last night which I was so happy about.  The surgery went very well...I went in at about 11 a.m. and was in recovery at about 1:40...the surgeon kept me there until 7:30 and since I was feeling good, he let me go home last night.  The incision looks great...it looks very small, like only about two inches...I was really happy when I looked in the mirror and saw this..I was expecting it to be much worse.  its covered with steri strips which don't look so pretty beause they are blood stained (doctor said this is normal).  

My voice is very weak...                                                                                              
and I have a hard time swallowing, but its not as bad as I thought it would be.

have a big appetite...my sis in law made me pancakes and bacon this morning..I ate it all..took a little time, but I managed....

I've been keeping an ice pack on my neck most of the time to keep swelling down...the swelling is not so bad at all..
I will find out the final path results on Friday...

I am so thankful that it went well and I'm home safe...
