Headaches after total thyroidectomy?
Had 2 surgery in the last 3 months, the second one was 5 days ago, total thyroid..
I'm experiencing bad headaches on and off, for the last 3 days!
Nerve damage?
Normal ?
My headaches are in the back of neck and sides, jaws .
Ps: I had papillar and follicular carcinomas( nodules on right lobe)

I'm 35 years old, healthy, eat well, exercised all my life.
Been also given calcium for the next 2 weeks. Levels were good when leaving hospital .

After I had full open shoulder surgery (twice), I suffered with headaches and kneck soreness and was told it was from the operating table where they DO have your head tilted back so as not to restrict airflow.
I found the way to relieve it was to put wheatpacks on the neck and was told the headaches were from the anaesetic.
Give yourself time to heal, take some paracetomol and use a wheatpack on the neck and see if it relieves it.
Heres hoping for a speedy recovery.

Hi, I had a migraine with severe nausea and vertigo that lasted 3 days after my partial ... for me, they said it was a side effect of being put out. I wonder if it has something to do with the way your head is tilted back for 2 hours?
