I have been treated for hypothyroidism for the last 4 to 5 years and experience daily migraines as well. I would call my doctor and get in prior to your next visit. It sounds like you may need an increase in your meds. I just found out my TPO levels are 30,000 and I'm hoping all I need is an adjustment in my synthroid.
Hi, I also had a thyroidectomy and started out with the 137 dosage as well. In addition to the headaches I felt very ill and my endo changed the dosage to 150 and felt so much better.
Hi Pat~
I have not had a thyroidectomy (but have had a PARAthyroidectomy), but I'm hypothyroid, and take a low dose of levothyroxine (25mcg). I have had daily migraines for 30+ years, this before my dx of hypothyroid. I have not noticed any change in my head pain since adding levogthyroxine a few years ago. True, I'm on a small dose. I'd certainly mention it to your endocrinologist. After your next blood labs, maybe your dose needs adjusting? But, that's up to you and your docs.
GOOD LUCK to you....juli
