So please chime in here if you can. I would like to know how many of you are no longer suffering from palpitationsHeart palpitations after having some thyroid related issues. I can assume that some people who have finally found relief would no longer be posting but I hope to find some HOPE!
well, I hope that you get an answer on this one. I have palpitationsHeart palpitations and chest pain, but I have only been on med for 3 months. I am hoping that this will pass when meds get regularRegular insulin.
I was on armor for 5 years and never had problems. I began to have problems in April, pulled off all meds in May, retested in June, found out that I'm still hypo and just started synthroid 2 days ago. Had quite a few palps last night and am praying that these will pass with time. I was on another site where there were actually quite a few people who indicated that once they got to a point where they were closer to euthroid the palpitations ended!!!
I hope there are some here too.
iv had heart palpatations since 1999 i hate it with a passion the doctor put me on suculate thinkin i had a spastic esophagus it doesnt go away compleatly put i can tolerate it now. i have hypo thyroidism also. i know stress can bring it on my daughter in law when she went thru college she had it all the time after she graduated she never had it again. try puting your fingers below the ribs in the center and press down can you feel it palpatating could be spastic esophogus because your heart is a lot higher up
For years I had palpitations at night. Scared me at first but I didn't die so I figured it was just another "peri" menopause symptom. Now that I think about it...I haven't had an episode since I started levo in April.
I was told I was hypo about 1 month ago when I first found out I had an issue with my thyroid and low irorn.. I'm new to thyroid issues and hoping that the heart palps will ease up even more. I have noticed a big difference though for the good.
My concern now is with BP fluctuations, from high to low??? It could be an old issue.
It's summer time now though and I've been pushing a bit, so I'm hopeing that's all it is. Take care.
I thought I was having blood pressure problems but it turns out I was not consistently taking my pressure they way it should be taken. I read that if your arm that you cuff is at the same height as your heart your blood pressure reading should be accurate. I was sitting at a table where my arm was dropping way below my heart. (sounds silly huh) but it sure has made a difference. I hardly ever come up high now. My mother has problems with Graves and she is hyper now and then. I can see where blood pressure comes in. I am hardly every hyper, just a lot of anxiety.
How long have you been on tx? synthroid or armour? Do you feel like it has helped yet?
I hope there are some here too.
Since I started on levothyroxine they have eased up alot, and amazingly don't exist on some days.
So I guess there's hope. :-)
