Thanks all for the responses. I also forgot to add this result:
Thyroid peroxidase antibody: >1000 (range <35)
I never had this test before and it freaked me out that it was so high. I think after my daughter was born (3 months premature) I was so stressed abt her surviving that I hoped the Grves would go in remission. Then I spent years just trying to get her life stabilized. Now that she is healthy I am trying to take care of myself and am just frustrated beyond means.
I am going to try to find an endo who focuses on thyroid issues. Tampa and Orlando are each abt an hour away - I will search there if it means finding someone experienced.
Thanks again!
Don't wait! I had the same symptoms seven years ago. I was training for the breast cancer 3 day 60 mile walk and was doing weight watchers and I was gaining weight. I felt lousy, hot, and extremely emotional. I went to my GYN for I thought my ovaries had shut down or something. It was my thyroid and I had Graves Disease. It took a little while after the radiation to get it normal but it was worth it. Occasionally i get a little out whack but you sure do learn your body. Trust yourself and don't let yourself think that feeling lousy is normal. Take charge and take care of yourself.
Oops! hit the wrong button. LOL!
Your Endo is probably going to see the same levels in a month and then put you back on PTU drugs.
She must think there is a good reason for a second look before starting meds.
You really should re-think your exercise routine.
You are sick and there is a huge load on your heart right now.
Best of luck.
Your Grave's antibodies look fairly low. Below limits.
You're hyper. How long have you been Hyper? A long time, I'll guess. I wonder why your Endo wants to confirm levels in a month?
Not sure how to edit...but I messed up on the TSH.
The result was NOT 1000...
it was <0.01
