Help with Results

My ultrasound results were: The thyroid is diffusely heterogeneous in echotexture with the right thyroid lobe measuring 4.4 cm in length x 1.5 cm AP x 1.3 cm respectively.  No focal lesions are identified.  The isthmus is mildly thickened and measures 3mm AP.  The thyroid gland is mildly hyperemic.

I am really getting no help from the VA.  I went to a military doc for help to get this test done.  Now they want me to wait for a month to see a doc to go over results.  This is nerve racking.  Can anyone help?

They are to worried about the ways they can fatten their wallets, and new promises to break to get re-elected.  It took me changing PCM's to get a doc to do further testing.  I went from hearing that I was fine on the meds I was on to I may need to get my thyroid removed in the future.  Hense the fact why I came here to hopefully find further help.  I sent a message to the doctor on here also but, the story of my life, NO ANSWER!!!

Don't you just love that Naval socialized medicine?  I am out west...you know where and I am awaiting RAI for cancer of the thyroid which usually takes only 4-5 weeks...I have to wait SEVEN!  Seven weeks of Hypo Hell...hope you all are paying attention to what is happening on Capital Hill!

Looks like you need an increase...probably to 62.5mcg daily although check with your Endo/Doc first.
Go slowly on the increases.

My TSH was .38 then three weeks later it was 4.45.  (Normals .34-4.82)  This is all while on levothyroxine.  Thyroperoxidase Ab was 33(H)  (Normals showed 0-20)
But I am on levothyroxine 50mcg.  For an already diagnosed hypothyroid.

You have an inflammed thyroid and should be tested for Graves or hashi's which are Autoimmune Diseases.
Do you have lab results?
