Help!!!!

I have 30 years and no pregnancy till now.I have hashimoto since 2003, antithyroid peroxidase antibody is 515 and
antithyroglobulin antibody is 1776. I reduced my TSH from 35 to 1.66 now, also my prolactin is high now 800.I have ovulation and all my exams are well. I want to do an IUI next month... it is OK with my actual value of TSH and Prolactin. What are the chances for a success? Do you think I should try IVF with this diagnostic? Thank you very much for your help!!

Hi,

no reason not to proceed with the IUI regardless.  But if the prolactin levels don't come down/ you don't get pregnant, you may wish to consider reducing it later.  Be guided by your doctor as well.

Best wishes

Thank you for the response...it seems that high prolactin is because of the tyroid gland. My endo said to wait before I take medicine for prolactin. Can  I do my first IUI with these value of prolactin?

Best wishes.

Hi,

with high prolactin, you might want to ask your doctor about bromocriptine or another drug to reduce it.  I got pregnant on this drug and now have a heathy 7mo baby.

You thryoid would apparently be ok, with your current resutls (I am assuming your FT3 and FT4 have also been tested and are in normal range).  It will be important to keep your thyroid levels optimal now and when you get pregnant.

Go first with the IUI, no reason to proceed with IVF at this stage.

best of wishes

Best wishes.
