Help

I am on no thyroid medication... have been having lots of symptoms for years but recently got really sick after I got an infection and took some medication for it exacerbating all the symptoms.. every doctor  thought and still do think I have stomach issues butthought alot of my symptoms espeically since having them for years were thyroid related. I also have a sore neck and sharp pains and tender to touch. Doc won't do ultrasound as its not enlarged and she said she felt no nodules.  I just received some of my lab work that I have had done.. just wanted to post it and see if there is any input:
TSH 0.96
FT4 15 (11-23)
FT3 5.3 (3.5-6.5)

27/11/2012 TSH 1.34 (0.35-4.2)

13/01/2013 TSH 1.35
FT4 19.8 (12-23)
FT3 4.8 (3.9-6.7)

On Jan 21/13... ANA Positive with antibody titer POS SPECKLED 1:80
all antibody tests were negative.

Anti Thyroblobulin AB <20 (0-99)
Anti MIscrosomal AB (I think is thyroid as well) <10 (0-40)

26/04/13 TSH 0.9

13/05/13 TSH 0.9
FT4 17.7 (12-23)
FT3 5.3 (3.9-6.7)

Did you ever figure out your symptoms. I have the same type of symptoms and have had all kinds of work up but still no answers. Might be gall bladder but only slightly low functioning.

I can recommend digestive enzyme supplements. Enzymes are helpful with both low and high stomach acid. The proteases (enzymes that digest protein) help reduce inflammation, clean out debris and infection, and stimulate healing.

"The simple solution for most people with excess stomach acid is to supplement with digestive enzymes which can digest up to 70% of the meal in the pre-acid phase, thus eliminating the need for large amounts of stomach acid and also taking tremendous stress off the digestive system and the pancreas." - Excerpt from Stomach Acid by Baseline Of Health Foundation.

Sounds like you still have H Pylori bacteria.  Due to antibiotic resistance this bacteria is getting harder to eradicate.  One comment i found is entitled "quadruple therapy cured my h pylori". She needed quadruple therapy for 2 weeks to be free of acid reflux, nausea etc.

lump in throat with burping... pain under my right rib cage and under sternal area.... nauseous, dry heaving in the morning, lost 15 pounds.... Had scopes done in Jan... showed no inflammation or ulcers.. did biopsy's and they showed H.pylori infection.. took antibiotics for that but still stomach issues and then started the pain under rib cage. Seen surgeon today who said we can try and take gallbladder out to see if it helps... not sure about that as no stones showed up on u/s but do have a polyp. I aparently have high Ph but antacids don't do anything for me..... yes, magnesium was 0.8 (0.7-1.05).. so I thought was on lower end of scale...

Magnesium is never accurate on labs so if you are borderline on a blood test your are very low at a cellular level. Magnesium is essential for nerve transmission so when magnesium is low any number of symptoms can develop such as cramps, tremors, acid reflux, tingling/numbness, abnormal sensations.  What is wrong with your stomach? Gastritis pain? Low stomach acid?

The first 2 times I started having these symptoms was after giving birth to my sons.. symptoms never went away but got manageable... I even gained weight.... this last time was because of a dentist appointment. Took antibiotics for tooth infection and ended up having to get my tooth pulled which took 2 appts because the freezing wouldn't work the first time.

I did take probiotics and they made really sick :( I started eating yogurt and spinkling a little bit of the probiotic in it.... I went and seen a naturopath and had rebalanced my good and bad bacteria but still shakes.. my magnesium was borderline. I was on a lot of antibiotics 5 years ago when it all started.. I find it gets worse when my stomach is worse.. I was on antibiotics again for an h.pylori infection and then I worked with a naturopath.... still get the internal tremors.

Have you taken probiotics to replenish the good bacteria after the antibiotics?  I've had internal tremors for two reasons - magnesium deficiency and hypothyroidism.  I have read certain antibiotics such as Garamycin, tobramycin (Nebcin), carbenicillin, ticaricillin, amphotericin B and antibiotics of the tetracycline class all cause magnesium deficiency.

Well I am having bad stomach issues right now which I am awaiting to see a GI for which includes awful acid reflux, bad cramps, weight loss of 15 pounds... internal shaking (tremors), burning legs, I get a real weird body sensation, hard to explain but feels like a squeezing feeling that starts at feet and goes all the way up my body... gritty eyes when I take this "spell", burning mouth, hair loss, extreme heat when taking this "spell", tingling/burning body....

Yes those were my most recent labs on May 13. My recent sickness started in November after a dentist appt where I had to start taking antibiotics. These were all the tests that they did:
anti parietal cell antibody, anti smooth muscle antibody, anti reticulin antibody, anti thyroglobulin AB, anti microsomal AB, extractable nuclear AG screen (negative for SSA, SSB, SM, SM/RNP, SCL 70 and JO-1)... they all came negative and Antimicorsomal AB (TPO Ab) was <10 (0-49) and my Anti thyroglubulin (Tg AB) was <20 (0-99) so they were in range.

Your labs don't show hypothyroidism at a glandular level. At a cellular level is another matter. What are your symptoms?

Let me make sure I'm understanding correctly.

Your most recent labs (please provide a date) were:

TSH 0.96
FT4 15 (11-23)
FT3 5.3 (3.5-6.5)

The next most recent were May 13, 2013?  Was your recnt sickness between those two labs?

Yes, both of those are thyroid antibodies, and both are negative, so it doesn't look like you have Hashi's.  However, your ANA was positive, which would indicate autoimmune activity of some sort.
