Help

Pls help me interpret the ff findings on my thyroid sonogram.
"The right lobe measures 37x16x15mm, showing a complex cystic mass with mural solid components and septation measuring 28x17x29mm. The left lobe measures 35x11x16mm, also with note of complex cyctic nodule in the interior pole measuring 10x8x9mm.  The isthmus is 3mm thick and at the midline.  Great vessels of the necka are unremarkable".
Impression: Complex cystic mass, both lobes

I was prescribed with eltroxin 100mcg, I almost take it for 3 mos., as if there is no effect because with my personal observation the mass is still the same in size. I almost consumed 100 tablets and do i need to buy another if it needs long term medication?  Or can you suggest for another alternative oral medication which I can try?

This type of cyst is uncommon but not unusual. The thyroid hormone may not to shrink these; they can be aspirated, however, because of thick walls  even PEI is not very effective to treat such  type of cyst. The biopsy of the cystic wall [mural nodule ] is recommended.
For sonogram appearance of this cyst visit my photos.

Maybe I am wrong but have you been referred to an Endocrinologist?
Normally with a mass on both lobes of the thyroid, they remove the thyroid.
Also if you are on T4 thyroid meds, you will most probably be on them for life.
It sounds like you have Hashi's and you should get tested every 6 weeks when you first start the meds.
Go back and see your Doctor and ask him exactly whats going on with you.
