Am sorry it is hitting you so hard.  So far--knock on wood--I'm not too bad.  Been taking meds like crazy to try and stave off the worst of it.    Feel the worst first thing in the morning and late at night, like right now.  Am pretty tired and my throat feels sore, but I don't know how to describe this kind of sore.  No fever either.

If it's the same thing as down here be really careful b/c it's going into secondary infections:  ear infections, strep throat, and pneumonia (of course).  Hang in there and take care of yourself.

Too sick to get in much trouble.  Last night the stomach part hit.  Horrible, retched night.  Husband thinks since I got that part so early maybe I'll get over it faster.  He's had it couple of weeks now.

Theraflu?  Yuck.  Sounds every bit as bad as tequila right now.  If it's not in pill form right now, it's not going down.

MJ - Yeah, the tequila sounds good but I can't even hold down the theraflu.  I start coughing so hard that everything comes back up.  (I know, TMI)

DLA - is the Coke Zero any good?  I've been told that works great for Diabetics who don't like diet drinks.  

Right now I'd just take a peaceful night without coughing all night long.

I could go for some rum and coke or long island ice teas.  Oh, yeah, I don't drink AND I'm diabetic.  Guess I'll have to do the hot tea.  But no honey.  BLUCK!!!!

Throwing up?  My son said this, but I thought he just didn't know what he was talking about this.  The poor little guy is so upset b/c this is what killed my sil's mother!  Her's was of course a totally different cicumstance, but that's all he remembered about.  He's cried most of the evening b/c I couldn't convince him I'm going to live.

Be really careful, utah, sounds like the secondary infections have already got you.  I already have a sinus infection and hurt like I've been bulldozed.  Fever still hovering at 101 and until it goes over that I won't take anything for it during the day.  I'm on Augmentin already, but wishing I had a steroid to take along with it.

The chicken noodle soup. . . .everything tastes super salty to me right now, so I didn't eat much of it.  Haven't had the energy to check my bsugars today, but will when I get off of here.

Would give. . . .um. . . .something really big for a Coca Cola right now!!!  Can just taste it.   Diabetes be hanged.

How ya feelin'?  Better I hope!!  I was a little under the weather last Friday and didn't go to work, but a few cold capsules and a days rest made me feel better.  Drink some hot tea with honey and lemon.  If that doesn't work...a few shots of tequila works wonders!!!!

Thanks all.  Yeah, the fun never ends.  I know my immune system is shot but, of course, that had nothing to do with the migraine.  That one I blame on about 20 minutes of lasers burning my retina.   :-(

This stuff (the flu) is entertaining.  Went from body aches and cough to sinuses, fever, and really bad cough to my stomach now too.   Wonder if it will end up in my toes.  :-/

Back to bed - get better Dac!!!  The noodles have the carbs so just watch those.   Doesn't having the flu mess up your glucose too?  It does mine.

Okay, back to bed.

Apparently I knocked on the wrong wood.  Had a horrible night last night and am miserable this morning.  UGH!!  

Tomorrow is my gyn appt that's already been rescheduled twice.  They rescheduled for surgery day, that day was my son's spelling bee so I rescheduled--3 times--I rescheduled then b/c I had no insurance, and now this!!  You're right, it's crazy, have to get well enough to go to the dr.  

Take care of yourself, eat plenty of chicken noodle soup, and get plenty of rest.  Wonder how many carbs in chicken noodle soup?  Think it can work on a diabetic diet?  Think I'm getting ready to find out.

Im so sorry all this is hitting you at once.  Tell that flu to take a hike.  You just finished with that daggone migrane issue.  

I truly hope you feel better soon or you might start to look like Stella's cat....  LOL

Hey thanks Dac.

The TheraFlu (shudder) helped a bit.  It started off as body aches then went into a cough; now it is a horrible cough, headache and non-stop sneezing with a fever.  Oh, the non-stop sneezing, my kids have dubbed them "sneezures" cause I'll sneeze 3-6 times in a row.   (must love teenagers)

I'm knocking on wood that YOU don't get it worse and if there is any wood left, that I get feeling better soon too!  

I have to get better soon - I already had to reschedule my ENT appointment tomorrow and I can't afford to reschedule the endo on Friday - he books out by six months and I only got this appointment because I was on the wait list.

Funny - got to get better to go to the doctor.  :-)

Ouch - back to bed.  You get better soon!!!
