Hey Dac...

Just curious if you did any more of those foot detox patches??  I know some squawk about them, but it all depends on what "you" think.  I know you liked the detox foot bath, so I'm curious to know your opinion on the patches.  Making you pee all the time is the same as the foot bath (if I remember correctly).  You mentioned the pain in your legs, etc. afterwards.  Honestly, if it were me, I'd do it again for a 2nd night.  That sounds more like you had major stuff going on within you (as far as detox goes).   You might find that the more you do them the less pain you'll have afterwards, - more circulation, etc.

just my 2 cents!

Betsy, thank you so much for all the sweet words!  You really made my day.  Am glad I can make you laugh.  Laughter, the best medicine?  I truly believe it.  Have had so many situations in my life that I don't think I could have dealt with without laughter.

Can't come up with any reason they could hurt me, so am going to continue using them.  As I said, I think I'm going to finish these up, haven't used the last 3 sets yet, as I've fallen asleep in my recliner last 2 nights and stayed there zzzzzzzzz, and then am going to do the foot baths.  If there is something I can do to fix this liver of mine it will totally be worth it!  Didn't realize until this all came up that there isn't a lot they can do about a damaged liver.  Well, guess I knew it, just hadn't really thought about it.

The weather is sooooo cool down here today that I am already having a very productive day and it's only 9:00am.  So plan on getting a lot done today.  And I slept from 8:30 last night until 6:15 this morning when the alarm clocks went off.  So am feeling pretty good.  Thank you soooo much for asking.

Craniac, they are in the Avon book in the wellness section.  They are called detox patches.  For the 3 pairs they are $11.99 plus tax.  Know that there are lots of places you can find them but I am way out in the sticks and we don't have as many options.  So it's Avon Lady to the rescue!  ;)  I live so far out that we actually have some Avon lady who throws the books into our driveways as she drives by.  Have never even caught her doing this, am just always finding them there!  C r a z y!!

If you get them let me know what they do for you.  Hope they help.

Have a wonderful, beautiful day!  I'm planning to!

Where do you get these things? I vaguely remember someone mentioning Avon. What exactly are they called, and how much?

This intrigues me. I want to try it. Do you think they could be harmful?

You are so welcome!  I was wondering about you and how you were doing.  I see you quite often checking up on others on this board -- it's time that we ask "you" how you're doing!  You're always so sweet and remind us that a sense of humor can really help turn your attitude to a positive direction.  So, thank you for making me laugh -- and actually laugh, not faking it!

I would never suggest something like this instead of medical treatment, however, it sure can't hurt to go along with!  You mentioned you had so many liver issues, I really think this detox might help you (regardless which way you do it - bath or pads).  Once you get past the gross parts -- you might find you feel wonderful -- or at least semi normal again!  I'm so glad that they helped you sleep!  Having your body rejuvenate while sleeping is probably the best remedy.

You may have to force yourself a little to use them, since they do have some uncomfortable side affects.  It just seems so strange to me that they do affect a person so much --- and you're not putting anything medicinal into your body!    It would be so wonderful for you if you could feel better!  That is what I'm hoping for!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Well, my legs don't hurt as bad, but still seem to be peeing out nasty looking stuff just like with the foot bath.  And just like it after 3 times my liver is really tender, lilke it's really doing something to it.  Have 3 more sets to go and then I seriously think I'm going to get the money some where to do the foot baths again.

My aunt, the RN, was a total non believer, too, until I read to her about it dializing the blood as it goes through your feet.  Then she changed her mind.  My mom also didn't believe it until I realized and told her that it is the same way they treat their pool water.  With ionization.  Is pretty much the same unit, except the one in the pool is housed and the water runs through it after the filter.  She believed that they put something in the water, which they don't.

When I explained to my mom about it dializing the blood then she REALLY freaked and tried to tell me not to do it, b/c it sounded dangerous to be messing around with.  =+)  Like I'm gonna listen to her.

Just like we had talked about before, I don't have nearly as much swelling just with the pads.  Would definitely recommend them.  Still don't feel real well using them, but as I told you before with the liver damage I have am hoping that it just means it is working.  Guess we'll wait and see.

Almost forgot to tell you, they do make me sleep so soundly!  You had said that they made you sleep more soundly than ever before and I believe it.  Slept from 12:00 midnight to 11:30am!  Only got up to pee once all night.  But by the time I woke up felt like I had taken a Lasix and gone to bed.

Thanks for asking and being so sweet.

Yes, and even the "doubters" that have tried them say that after the fourth or fifth time they use them they feel better.  I haven't heard ANYone say they felt worse.  I've found sites on the web where you can buy them in bulk and many folks (including one paraplegic lady) said that swelling goes away and joint pain is reduced.  I'd try them if I had the $$ to spare.  I was originally reacting to your comments about agony and pain - and that wouldn't be good.  However if results show up after several uses, then I say whatever works!

Let us know.
