Hi, I am new at all this, so please bear with me. I am trying to find out what my options are regarding my Thyroid Function Test -
TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh 5mU/L, fT4 11 pmol/L; free T3 4.1 pmol/L; Anyi-Thyroglobulin Ab 20U/mL; Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase Ab 2200U/mL
I am concerned with the Anti-thyroid Peroxidase level, it has been suggested to wait another three months and redo the tests - would my 2200 level drop that significantly? The rest is low but within the range. Plese help!
Thank you
D
Wow friend... that's quite an abTPO! My question to you is if you are on any current medications, especially for your thyroid. If so, then I would believe that yes, it is possible that your level will drop significantly. If not, then IMHO, I don't believe it will drop. My levels are considerably less than your own - however, it dropped from about 804 to into the 300s within a month of being on the correctCorrect (new formula) course of treatment.
At this time, it's going to be best to keep an eye on your tests, on how you feel (this is especially important), and play the thyroid-y waiting game.
I hope more folks reply, as this is only my own opinion. It differs for everyone.
