TGab is one of several thyroid antibodies. It indicates an autoimmune thyroid condition.
Grave's is autoimmune hyperthyroidism.
Hashimoto's is autoimmune hypothyroidism.
If you are starting Synthroid, you must not have normal thyroid hormone levels, even though they fall within "normal lab ranges".
If you have thyroid antibodies, and you are taking hormone replacement, you fit the definition of a person with Hashimoto's. It is the most common form of hypothyroidism, if that is any consolation to you.
