I had my thyroid removed in September of 2008 and had RAI in December (using Thyrogen). My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh was normalNormal saline flush in August when the tumor was discovered. In November it was 19. I increased the dose of Synthroid and by the end of December the TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh was down around 7. I increased the dosage further to 175 mcg and just last week my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh came back over 33. My free T4T4 test was normal. My endo said she didn't know why this would happen and told me to take an extra 1/2 pill two times a week. Does anyone know why I would have gone down and then back up so much? Is there anything I can do to be more functional? My job is going to be in jeopardy if I don't get this taken care of. Thanks.
