I am more confused!! I got a copy of my recent ultrasound to bring to my cardio dr., and according to my endocro.. dr there was no change from the previous one. Well reading the report it states that the Isthmus measures 2.7cm and in March it measured 0.6cm., and I a benign lymph node is seen in the left neck measuring 1.2x0.4x0.8cm which i did not have in March. here are my recent blood test:
TSH 0.75 range 0.34 - 5.60
T4 Free 0.86 range 0.8 - 1.8
Thyroglobulin AB - 557 range <20
Thyroid Peroxidase AB -15 range <35
The doctor said to see her in one year. I am looking for a new endocr. I will also discuss this with my cardio doctor. I am going for yearly check up, since 4 years ago I had pericarditis and need to have emercency surgery because i passed out, pericarditis caused cardiac tamponade, they had to cut some of my pericardial sac.
The reason i am mentioning this, is beacuse i read that if you have thyroid disease it could cause pericarditis.
Still no T3 tests? What is up with this doc?
Honestly, with those antibody levels, you should be getting treatment. I highly suggest you see another doctor about this.
If you don't feel well, you need to be treated for your obvious Hashimoto's.
High antibodies, plus multi-nodular goiter, plus hypo symptoms = Hashimoto's!
Bottom line.

I got my ultrasound result today, no change, and she is not concerned with the Thyroglobulin AB being high she wants see me in one year. Still no explanation as to why I have a high white blood count. I asked her if could because my thyroid is enlarged, and is that consired inflamation, since i had pericarditis 4 yrs ago and had a high white blood count.
still confused but moving on to my primary doctor and cardio..
You're welcome! Let us know how it goes.
Take care...

thank you. I will ask the doctor about the T3. I do have some of the symptoms you described.
They are:
All of the sudden I feel very tired
forgetfull
heartburn (occasional)
abdomen swelling
scratchy voice (sometimes)
knee and joint pain
occasional hot flash from neck up (I am 55 yrs old)
body temp.97-97.5
all the sudden I get a low grade fever, same as i did 5yrs ago that no one could tell where it was coming from until I had Pericarditis, I have not had any low grade fever until a month, it only last for a few hours a day sometimes it comes back the next day. Need to talk to doctor about since my white blood count is high again.
hair clumps in shower.
will have the results of my ultrasound by the end of this week. I will go to doctor with a list of questions.
thank you again!!!
Your low TSH indicates hyperthyroidism. Your low FT4 indicates hypothryoidism. Any GOOD doc will tell you that FT4 is more important in diagnosing thyroid disease.
Your TGab suggests an auto-immune disease, Hashimoto's, an auto-immune disease that causes hypothyroidism.
Your multi-nodule thyroid suggests Hashimoto's.
Why didn't a doctor run a T3 test?
With Hashimoto's, our TSH and FT4, FT3 vary while our thyroid and the antibodies duke it out.
Four years ago, with high antibodies, some doctor dropped the ball on you big time! You should have been treated then.
Do you have any symptoms?
