Anyway, I had tsh checked Monday it was 2.04 which I feel great.. no aches and pains.. no symptoms.
Im on .56 synthroid
But, the doctor felt a nodule and ordered a thyroid doppler, where they found 1 small nodule that I am to have rechecked in 3 months.
My question however is this: he said "I have a higher than average blood flow into and out of the thyroid"
Does that mean anything? What does the amount of blood flow have to do with? Should I worry about this?
Thanks
A higher than average blood flow usually means Hyperthyroidism.
Maybe the medication is causing this higher than average flow.
I would say so .
I dont really think you have much to worry about here.
Just keep on an eye on your levels to make sure you dont go med induced hyper.
I searched forever last night to see if I could understand the blood flow into the thyroid. I also could only find info that sounds like hyper is a reason. Thing is I have not been med induced hyper in almost 2 years.. at least by blood work. Boy that was horrible.
I usually struggle just to keep my levels at around tsh 2.0 it wants to head up to around 2.5 and I start getting hypo symptoms then. thanks for the help
