How do I know if I am in Throid Storm

I have felt terrible for about 6 months. No energy at all.  Takes all I have to make it thru work everday.  I only have 25% of my thyroid.  I had most of it removed in 2001.  There were benign tumors on it.  My TSH is< 0.004.  Could I be in danger of Thyroid Storm?

You will know you are in thyroid storm if you are dying.
Thyroid storm is a term that gets thrown around a lot, but it is rare.

I had the head of an ER tell me that I could walk into the ER having a thyroid storm and the chances of them saving me were very slim unless a team with all the right stuff was standing right there waiting for me.

Thyroid storm causes you to have a heart attack and seizures at the same time, and the drugs they give you for one agravate the other. If you go into Thyroid Storm on the operating table while they are removing your thyroid, you die.

Are you in danger of a thyroid storm with a TSH of 0.004? Possibly. The question is how high is your T4/T3, as that is the trigger, not your TSH.
