How do you take cytomel?

Those of you who take cytomel, how do you take it? Do you take it with synthroid in the morning on empty stomach or later in the day? Thanks.

Thanks Pep88. I have been taking it with Synthroid in the morning but I am not seeing much difference. I started this because I was dxed with Hashimotos.

I was also dxed with Hashimoto's. I am seeing some difference but not a big one. I started about 3 weeks back. Why are you getting surgery done? Was the FNA suspicious?

Yes, you take your cytomel with the levothyroxine first thing in the morning.  How much are you on and does it help?  I was dx with Hashimoto's Disease about 1 mo ago and started cytomel and I don't feel any different.  But I am having surgery to remove a 2 cm nodule on the right side, right lobectomy.  Maybe that makes a difference.

I take it first thing in the am with my Levothryoxine.  I don't take it later in the day because it makes it impossible for *me* to sleep.  Doesn't effect everyone that way though.  If you've never taken it b4 you'll have to experiment and see how you feel.
