How long does it take to lower with new does of Synthroid?

by jjtwhip, Mar 19, 2008 08:33PM
Hi, I have a question!  How long does it take for your bloodwork to show a decrease in your TSH after an increase in your Synthroid?  My TSH was 5.518 two weeks ago..  I was bumped to .075 synthroid and two weeks later my TSH was 4.9.  Should it have decreased more drastically or is this normal?

It usual take the body a while to adjust to med level changes.  Sometimes it can take at least 6 weeks.  Unfotunately, in the thyroid game patience is a necessary evil....something I didn't have much of,   but have learned to get some.
