How to go from levo to NatureTroid

Hello,

I have gradually been increasing my levothyroxin dose over the last 2 years, since I found out I was hypo.
Starting on 50mg, 75mg, 100, mg, 125mg, and now finally on 150 mg. Still not complete balanced, and to be honest I feel worse now than when I started on meds. Maybe I caught the start of the hypo problems, and hence would have been much worse if it wasn't for early treatment, I do not know.
Biggest problems are foggy feeling/distant behaviour/fatigue. Dizzyness usually kicks in alter in the day after lunch, and gets better in the evening. I have always been fit but skinny, now I am getting less fit, but still skinny, no weight gain, rather loss, feels like I am loosing muscle mass slowly, but hard to say.

I am trying to live my usual old and active life, but this is not easy any longer.

Anyway, without having access to my latest lab tests, how should I generally replace Levo with Naturetroid, in order to try out NT?
I have NT in 1 grain tablets. 2 tablets of those and I would in theory be close to the one tablet of 150mg LevoThyroxin I do every morning, right?
I still have Levo in various amounts, should I do 75mg Levo and one tablet NT to start with?
I am open for suggestions here. I will follow up this switch closely with lab tests. (1-2 tests/month)
I am tempted to cut levo completely and do 1 tablet of 1 grain NT right away and see how it goes. Or two tablets of NT, no Levo.

Thanks.

Thanks for answers.
I had a hard time even getting the dessicated hormone, they were bought completely on my own over the net. Being in Norway, is there any way of getting ERFA easy without having the doctors approval? The NT tablets were shipped from US to Romania, where my friend picked it up.
I honestly thought, after reading tons of info on here, that NT was still good, thats why I selected NT, now you tell me it has issues, maybe I have to start searching again on how to import ERFA.

Lately I have felt "funny" in my throat, like a tighter feeling, like something is wrong in the area where the thyroid is located, don't know whats causing this.
Also I do sneeze everyday , and have done for a long time, it sometimes get worse with days that are horrible, with dripping nose, eyes completely swollen, like allergy I believe, but I tested negative on that a few years ago, any ideas?
Just hypo syndroms??

Regards

when on a t4 med it will stay in yoor system for aroud 6 weeks reducing by half each week you are off of it. Did to this long 1/2 life of t4 meds. It's best to quit the t4 med and slowly add in the desiccated hormone adding a little more each week until you get to your conversion dose. This is how we switched over from Synthroid to desiccated. Watch closely for symptoms and increase slowly as needed. It is not easy to switch gears and will take time for you to adjust. Its best in mt opinion to split the desiccated hormone into 2 or 3 doses instead of taking it all at once. We divide ours by 4 hour intervals and take the first dose as soon as we awake and wait 1 hour if posibble to eat. We  take the next dose 1 hour before lunch and the last dose around 3:00 or 4:00. Also, we were on the original Nature_throid for 1 year and did great, however this med.s formula as well as Armour's has been changed and does not work as well for many long time users. Erfa desiccated Thyroid from Canada has not been altered and is good like original Nature-Throid and Armour. Might want to reconsider so that your transition can be as successful as possible. Good luck and go slow!

Since these are two different types of thyroid med, you realy have no choice but to go hypo for a while since hyper is dangerous. When I went off Levo and changed to Armour, it was quite an experience as the doc didnt out much though into it. I went to the moon!  What you need to know is the T3 your body is not used to getting directly will feel stronger than it really is. So you cant just go by what they both equal out to.

By the way since your in Norway, why did you choose to go with NT instead of EFRA from Canada, I mean, you need either one shipped to you.. Many people have issues with the newly fomulated NT.  Not ERFA.
