Okay gang, I was 2.3 and was feeling awful in April. My doc added Cytomel 25 and decreased my Synthroid from 100 to 75. NOW I am 0.063. I am worried I am walking on dangerous ground. He decreased my Synthroid to 50, now and kept the Cytomel the same. I am having headaches again and pounding heart. Should I be worried? Should I just stop taking for a few days? I am to recheck my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh on the 25th of August. Can I still exercise? Please advise. I trust all you guys.
I am not sure if he checked my T3 or T4, besides TSH. So, I will keep him posted on my symptoms this week and see if he can throw those labs in there on the 25th, when I get rechecked! Thanks for the advice.
Your doctor apparently feels - either by blood tests or symptoms that you were in need of Cytomel (T3) to add that to your Synthroid use.
He is "tweeking" your meds at this time to try and find a way to balance you within a normal range. Lowing the Synthroid would be appropriate.
If you still experience the symptoms you are haveing let's say for a week - thencall him and suggest a tweek lower in the Cytomel -
You haven't listed any of your thyroid labs - so it is tough to make a call on this one.
But he seems - (from what I am getting out of this) he is listening to both labs and symptoms to try and get you back on track.
