My anxiety is so severe, my body stay's constently exhausted. The best way to describe what I'm feeling is, I'm skydiving without a parachute, I have constent intense fearFears and phobias, shake real bad, and sometimes parazlyzed. No panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attacks, just pure 100% adrenaline rush, every waking minute/hour, to the point of exhaustion, then I pass out, then the cycle begins again, and I'm alway's tired from battling the anxiety (adrenaline).
I spoke with my pcp about it today, and he wouldn't prescribe me Lexapro, or any med to reileve the anxiety. Because my anxiety is being caused by my thyroid, not my brain. I'm not on any thyroid medication. For more info, refer to my journal.
Thanks
Hi,
From my experience, Yes, there is a huge difference between thyroid anxiety and mentalMental retardation Mental status tests anxiety...the commonCommon cold thread is the mental anxiety is caused by an over active thyroid. Everything that is usually a minor thing can be magnified by your out of whack thyroid. I was the same, I felt like my body was constantly in overdrive and I was running on empty, so exhausted all the time and very jittery. Gee, maybe you do need to find a Doc who will do blood work and find out just where your levels are, I was put on quite a heavy dose of anti anxiety drugs in the early days, just to feel "normal". It's so hard to cope otherwise. I hope you get the right support soon. Take Care.
