Hypertyhriod

by LoveLeah943, Sep 02, 2009 07:26PM
Hi, I am a 40 year old african-american women with a multi-nodular goiter. My blood test read T3 1987, T4 6-4, tsh, <0.01 AND Thyroglobulin 6.5. My doctor seemed confused by the numbers. She repeated asked if I was in any pain and If there was someone at home to take care of me. Does anyone know why these numbers dont read like typical Hyperthyriod numbers and what my considerations should be/
Thanks A Million!

Can you post the reference ranges to your levels as they are all different worldwide.
Also did you have the TPO test done?
Your TSH shows you to be hyper...I cannot comment on the others as I dont know the levels.
Also its wise to ask for FREE T3 and FREE T4 to be tested and not the normal T's.

To: Thank you
Thank you for your responce...T3 free 1987 pg/dl (230-420)
T4 free non dialysis 6-4 ng/dl(0.8-1.8)
TSH <0.01  mIu/L(0.04-4.50)

Thyroglobulin AB  246 IU/ml  (less than 20
T4 free direct dialysis 11.7 ng/dl (0.8-2.7)

I hope this is what you were asking about.

I am not sure what a TPO test is. I will look it up but if you can give me some insight that would be appreciated.
