Hypo Thyroid

Last two years i am suffering from Hypo Thyroid. I am staying in dubai, I did my check from Apollo hospital india from a thyroid specialist. He gave medicine (Thyroxine sodium Table - Electroxin)  for a year. Last year 2008 Feb the doctor told me now i don't have thyroid disease in my blood, then also he gave this above medicine to continue for 1 year but till now i didn't reduce by weight. Now my medicine is over for past one month and i didn't got my menses after stoping the medicine. i seek advice.

1) Do i need to consult new thyroid specialist in UAE or i have to consult the same old thyroid specialist.
2) Do to the thyroid i got this menses problem.

I am not familiar with testing in Dubai - but if you are still experiencing problems with hypothyroidism - you need additional tests.

Do you have lab numbers available to share on the board?
